Plasma Dolphin
2013-2019
Plasma Dolphin is an online & print arts and literature publication founded by myself and Emma Cohen in 2013. Plasma’s issues are comprised of vibrant, experimental writing and artwork by young people around the globe, with a home base in Toronto. Each issue is meticulously curated around a theme. The themes, like Participation Mystique, Magical Thinking and Bad Faith, pair theoretical and conceptual ideas with a corresponding visual language to create an exploratory and fun-loving multi-media magazine.
Plasma's issue were online for most of its run, and within the last few years we expanded the project to include two thick glossy print issues, a newsletter, launch parties and readings, as well as merch: t-shirts, tote bags, postcards and pins each produced in collaboration with a different Plasma artist. Our print issues have been sold in stores all over, from Drawn + Quarterly in Montreal to Skylight Books in Los Angeles.
